We understand how difficult it is for people who are new to the caregiver role to access the information they need. That’s why we’ve put together a series of podcasts on topics important for new caregivers to consider as well as experienced caregivers who may be entering a different phase of their caregiving journey. The podcasts are presented by two experts:
Evalyn Greb graduated in 1973 with a Master of Science in Social Work, emphasis in Community Organization, from San Diego State University and has worked locally ever since. She started two of the State and County’s first Adult Day Health Care Centers, organized and administered a hospital social work department, and procured funding for and administered eight case management programs for elderly and disabled persons while working for the County of San Diego. During the last nine years with the County, Evalyn was the lead staff person for the Long Term Care Integration Project. Since her retirement from the County, Evalyn has consulted with public programs, foundations, and private agencies to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities and elderly persons. She is a California Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Glenda Rogers has spent the majority of her career in the fields of aging, health, and social services. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from the University of Houston in Clear Lake City. She completed graduate work in Studies in Aging at the University of North Texas, and was awarded her Specialist in Aging certification. She retired in the fall of 2011 from the position of Director of Aging Services at the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area in Austin, Texas, a position that she held for seventeen years. Glenda currently works as a consultant for non-profit and human service organizations.
Resource information is also available for download for each of the sessions. Come back as often as you like to review one or more of the podcasts. They’re available at any time and presented at no cost to you.
